is something that has recently become quite popular with vacationers. It is a way to travel to places that you other wise would not be able to afford. When you house swap with someone you do not have to pay them for their home like you would a vacation rental home because they are getting your house in exchange for theirs.
When you are traveling with a family that includes children especially younger children it can be difficult to stay in a hotel room. It is cramped with the whole family sharing a room and with all the luggage. When you do a house swap you get a whole house to use just like you would your own.
You have bedrooms for the children so they are not getting awakened by other members of the family. When you exchange homes you get to have a vacation where you can feel at home because for the duration of your stay it is your home.
You can spend an entire day seeing all the wonderful sights and eating at fabulous restaurants and then come home and relax instead of being squeezed into a room like sardines in a can. Most of the time vacations are not much fun because every one is so tired of being in one room together for so long.
Home exchange is great because there are people from many different countries willing to swap their home for yours. You could choose what country you want to visit and be on your way. It will cost you the amount of a plane ticket and that is it. You can buy your food to cook at the home instead of spending a ton of money at fancy restaurants or expensive room service.
Everyone enjoys a home cooked meal and most of the time on vacation you can not get one of them. You can if you are living in a home. It is not the same as a vacation rental home. When you house swap you are swapping homes and making the homes your own for the time you are there. You could live just like the locals do because you are living in a locals home.
Think about how much wonderful a vacation could be if the children could have a bed to themselves or even a room to themselves. You will have a fully functional home to vacation in. You will have a functional laundry room and kitchen. You can clean your clothes before your trip home so that when you unpack you can just put your clothes away instead of throwing them in the hamper to be washed later.
You could find a lot of different websites that you can read about other families who have tried the house swapping vacations so you can make up your mind. Most people that try this usually want to keep vacationing this way.
