How long can betta fish live without food (Vacation)?
Im going on vacation tomorrow to ohio I live in wisconsin anyway I have 1 betta fish and I have no one to take care of it why im gone how long will it live without food im leaving December 23rd (tomorrow) Till December 28th Will it be fine if i put alot of food in there right now before i leave
A healthy fish can live at least two weeks without food. The answerer above is correct. Don’t feed it extra. It’s better to underfeed than overfeed.
By feeding him extra the day you leave, you may cause him to become constipated and bloated. And with you gone, there will be no one to watch him or take care of him while he is sick. When you leave, just give him three pellets or how ever many you give him in a day, and go. =]
The feeding blocks/automatic feeders are terrible. =[ They cloud the water up really bad, so I don’t recomend them.
